We have been made aware that a notice has appeared at Jhoots Pharmacy, stating they will be closing until further notice from 30th October.
This has not been formally communicated to us by the pharmacy owners, but it appears the wider Jhoots business may be entering administration.
Our thoughts are very much with the pharmacy staff during what must be a really difficult time and also with our patients who will, understandably, be worried about their prescriptions.
At present we don’t yet know how things will progress. Please note that Caen Medical Centre doesn’t hold the pharmacy licence so we don’t have direct control over any changes in provision.
If your prescription was recently sent to Jhoots, it should now have been returned to the NHS Spine, meaning you can collect it from any other pharmacy. Many patients have already made alternative arrangements in recent months.
We will be working to get more information asap and will share updates here as soon as we have them.
In the meantime please try not to overload our reception team with Jhoots related queries – this situation is evolving quickly and we will keep everyone informed.
